How to remove legacy numbers for

billing Medicare

The following must be done for  EACH PROVIDER for whom you are billing.

In the Provider List (icon: person with white coat), edit the provider.

In the Default Pins Tab, remove pin for Medicare. 

In the Group ID's Tab, remove Group Number and Medicare Group ID.  Be sure to leave the Provider Class as is. 

In the Pins Tab, scroll down to the Medicare insurance and remove all numbers from all 4 columns.  Save.

 The following must be done for EACH REFERRING PROVIDER.

In the Referring Provider List (icon: person with white coat and green arrow), edit the referring provider.

In the Default Pins Tab, remove the UPIN number.  Save.

Whether you print claims on paper or send them electronically, there should be no legacy numbers for providers and referring providers.
